ROAD TRIP ANNOUNCED

Team management today confirmed what many had suspected all along - the Rats will play a three-game series against a Dunedin selection in mid-August. Public pressure had been applied against the Rats all year long to visit their many fans (three at last count) in the deep South of New Zealand. The tour and game schedule will allow the team to show off the hardware spoils of last season (A&H Cup winners).

To ease security fears, the team has elected to travel by rail so that as many fans as possible can meet the players. Team management refused comment when asked by Dunedin Police if
'Needles' Williamson would be in the touring party.

• Friday August 17th
  8:30am - Assemble team at Christchurch train station
  9:00am - Depart Christchurch
  2:00pm - Arrive Dunedin
  9:30pm - Game #1 vs Dunedin
• Saturday August 18th
  3:00pm - Game #2 vs Dunedin
• Sunday August 19th
  8:00am - Game #3 vs Dunedin
  11:00am - Assemble at Dunedin train station
  5:00pm - Arrive Christchurch
