WILLAMSON
AND BELL INTO RECORD BOOKS
Friday August 17th, 22:45 NZT
Aging
snipers Needles Williamson and Ian Bell lead the Rink
Rats with six points each in the slaughter (13-2) of the three-legged
horse, otherwise known as the hapless Mustangs.
In the fourth and final meeting of the regular season, the Rats
stretched their record out to 4-0-0, out-scored the opposition by
33-10, and enjoyed a 20.0% (3 from 15) power-play unit. The penalty-kill
unit finished the season against the Donkeys unbeaten (0 from 9),
and the team posted a 56 shots-on advantage (121-65).
Williamson
and Bell move into a tie with 1999 legend Nathan Pugh and
captain Louis Tremblay for first place in the most points
scored by a player in a single game.
