Ian Bell owns ten different team records after just 50 games for the clubFIFTY GAMES AND BELL OWNS THE RECORD BOOKS
Saturday July 6th, 2002 NZT

Appearing in his fiftieth contest in a Rodent uniform, superstar
Ian 'Yoda' Bell sparked the team to a 5-4 win over the Mustangs in action at the Alpine Ice Sports Center on Thursday night.

On the back of a four point night (1-3-4, 2pims, +3), Bell helped the Silent Sniper Adam Wheatly continue his hot form with his weapon of choice, recording his sixth goal in just three games.

But the real story lies in Bell's ability to produce on a consistent basis year after year. Consider these gaudy numbers - 50 games played, 53 goals, 36 assists, 89 points, 148 pims, + 67 plus/minus, two-time Rink Rats Player of the Year (2001, 2001), owns or is tied for ten all-time team records, and did we mention that he's the oldest player in the league ?

If the CIHA played a full 84-game season, he'd have 89 goals, 60 assists and 149 points, as well as the respect of every young punk that plays in our league. Instead, they see him as some sort of junk yard dog that needs to have it's lease shortened. Well, beware of the dog boys - he bites ! (see the 148 pims tattooed to his forehead).

Here's a list of the team records that he owns, tied or is listed in the top two for;

1.  All-time Points Scored (89)
2.  All-time Goals Scored (53)
3.  All-time Assists Scored (26 - 2nd to Louis Tremblay)
4.  All-time Penalty Minutes (148 - 2nd to Dwayne Bell)
5.  All-time Power Play Goals (5)
6.  All-time Power Play Assists (4)
7.  All-time Power Play Points (9)
8.  All-time Plus Minus Rating (+67)
9. All-time Game Winning Goals (7 - tied with Stan Greene)
10. All-time Game Tising Goals (1 - tied with four players)
11.  All-time Short-handed Goals (5)
12.  All-time Short-handed Points (6
